Text: Stack, Lines, Words and Copies

Write and direct a Stack

A Stack contains Lines; each Line contains Words. Open the Stack editor. Use Add Beat, Add Line or Paste Lines in the content page. Select a word to edit that word's settings.

Choose a Recipe in the look page. Adjust Colours, Material and Voice & My Recipes. A recipe can pause existing edits: read the notice and explicitly reapply or discard those edits.

Set the common entrance in Every Line. Change the spacing in Stagger: choose Stagger By, Order and Spacing. Open Lines and Words to give a line or the selected word its own entry. A row that follows the Stack or its line inherits that entry; resetting an override restores inheritance. Set the Hold style separately.

Use Essentials for text measure, leading, ratio and alignment. Inspect Formats before changing aspect ratio: edits apply to the current format class. Use Word Timing when the selected word needs a timing adjustment.

Baseline

In the position page, Baseline offers Straight and Curve for this release. Straight keeps each line on a straight baseline. Curve reads the phrase once on a curve; choose Arc, Circle or Wave in Shape, then adjust Size % and Start °. Each line gets its own curve.

The buttons Seal, Arc Title and Wave Line set the curve's shape, size and start together. They preserve the words, roles and look. For words repeated all the way around, use Kinetic, rather than adding repeated text to a curved Stack.

The Object Baseline entry is reserved for 2.1. Selecting it displays Object comes with 2.1: the line stays straight; it does not wrap this Stack onto an object in 2.0.

Copies

Open Copies in the look page. The Effect menu has nine entries: None, then four effect groups: Echo · Fan · Tunnel / Long · Reflect / Sticker · Contour / Slices. None disables Copies. Pick an effect and a Preset, then refine its controls. The preset stays selected after a value changes; an edited dot marks the change.

EffectPresetsControls shown, in addition to Tone
EchoStack, Line, Trail, TaperCount, Step, Fade, Direction. Line omits Direction; Trail has Count and Fade; Taper has Count, Gap and Fade.
FanDeck, Swing, ClockCount, Angle °, Pivot, Fade.
TunnelDeep, Rise, TwistCount, Distance, Twist °, Fade.
LongCast, FadeAngle °, Length, Fade (a toggle).
ReflectPool, Twin, TideGap, Fade (fade length), Wave.
StickerPaper, PeelBorder, Tilt °, Shadow, Group (Line or Word).
ContourRipple, Topo, InlineRings, Spacing, Line (stroke width), Fade.
SlicesShift, Shutter, PaperBands, Offset, Axis. Paper instead shows Sheets, Wave and Lean.

For example, Echo · Taper uses shrinking copies with an adjustable Gap; Contour · Inline starts with an inner line. Tunnel places copies in real depth, so inspect it with the Target's camera move. Tone chooses a Brand Kit role, with Auto following Ink.

Stack Copies apply to every word by default. Select a word and enable This Word Only to give it its own Copies; it starts from the Stack's current treatment. A word's own Copies take precedence over the Stack's. Turn This Word Only off to follow the Stack again. The look page reports how many words keep their own Copies.
